So, I still have not sent in my AP scores. Is this really necessary? I took the U.S. History and I got a 5 on it.. Do I need to send it to all the schools I am applying to? I haven't been able to find this specification anywhere....

None requires AP scores. However, they may consider them in the admissions decision. You do not need to send an official report from the College Board; if there is nowhere to put them on app, you could include scores as part of your essay or send photocopies of your score reports to admissions via a letter to include in your file for consideration in admissions.

I did not send AP scores to any of the colleges I applied to (accepted ED1 at Vassar)

It doesn't hurt though to show off your 5's ;) Send 'em if possible, but don't worry about it if you don't have time or can't figure out how (i didn't).

Definitely don't waste money by sending them through collegeboard. you can self-report them or just wait until you're admitted (and get credit).

If you want to self-report, you can write the scores in the Additional Information section of the CommonApp. (that's what I did).
