Major Questions

Okay i have a couple of questions about my commonapp
1.) When our counselors fill out the secondary school report and create a reccommendation letter, Do they send it off to the college by themselves? Im kind of worried because i want the letter to be sealed in a envelope and in my college application package because i don't want it to get lost . (Same for Teacher recs, do they just send it off by themselves or can i just have them seal it in an envelope and attach it to my college application package?)
2.) Is it better to attach a resume? I have alot of EC's that i was actively in but the space on the commonapp for the EC's is small.

Thanks!

1) Generally, they send them off themselves. The envelopes are unlikely to get lost.

To ease your mind, get a few blank, stamped postcards from the post office. Address them to yourself. On the back, put something like:
"Received: College A - Recommendation of Teacher 1. Thank you." The college will date stamp the postcard and drop it in the mail. Then you'll know that the college got it and when.

2) The resume can be uploaded or added to the Additional Info section. Only attach it if it actually adds something that is not stated anywhere else on the application.

In regards to your answer in #2, Im doing the paper common application so what should I do?

And in regards to your answer to #1, what do you mean with the whole postcard scheme?

2) Yes, you can attach a resume if you're doing it on paper, but again, do it only if it adds something to your application. Don't do it if it's just redundant.

1) I'm sorry - I forgot a sentence - Put the postcard in the envelope(s) you give to your GC or your teachers, addressed to each college. Make sure that the postcard is put in the correct envelope. Then when the envelope gets to the school, the clerk or receptionist who opens the envelope will date-stamp the postcard and drop it in the mail. It will come back to you, and you'll know exactly when the recommendation or other docuemtn arrived at the college.
