Major Scholarship - Accept Now?

i found out that i was offered a major renewable undergraduate entrance scholarship a few days ago. but then i was reading an old forum (fourth post on http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/mcgill-university/324112-mcgill-major-scholarship.html) and i saw that it's possible to get a bigger scholarship offer later.

does anyone know how often this happens? should i accept my offer now, or should i wait and see if mcgill will give me a bigger offer? i'm super grateful for receiving a major scholarship already! -- i'm just wondering if accepting it now would cut off all chances of getting a larger offer (OR, maybe the opposite: accepting now would only help my chances)

any and all thoughts are welcome!! thanks!! :)

I don’t think you can get a bigger scholarship by waiting, just accept the one you have.
