Major Screw-Up

I really screwed up senior year. My mid-year grades are:

AP Biology- B
AP Chemistry- B+
AP Gov- A+
AP Lit- B+
AP Calc- B

How much do these grades hurt my chances? Are senior grades weighted heavily? I wished I tried harder; i barely put any effort into any of these classes. My grades up untill senior year were all A's with a few A+'s dispersed here and there. I took all honors and AP courses.

SATs:

Math: 750
Critical Reading: 730
Writing: 710

Math Level II: 780
Biology M- 750
US History- 720

Are my chances in jeopardy? I applied to the faculty of sciences and the inter-faculty of arts and sciences. My senior grades do not reflect my aptitude in math and science. Also, does McGill look at class rank or just GPA (just curious because my rank prob dropped with my senior grades)?

nah dont worry

ur sats and sat 2’s are solid

ur taking a solid ap courseload as well

I cannot help but worry… but thank you for your vote of confidence

You will be just fine. If your essay and supporting materials are strong, you have nothing to worry about.

You must not know much about this school if you think there’s an essay. :P

That is no screw up. I think you’re fine.

The min. requirements is a B+ average for grades 10-12 and you have around that for senior year, plus your SAT scores are way above the minimum. You definitely have a solid chance.

“screw up?”
are you joking?

I got a C for IB Math HL Y2 first semester senior year… that is what I call $CR3W3D.

^ math hl is s b***h… I feel your pain
