Major suggestion?

Hey guys,

I am a freshman at college right now.
And, I'm on a pre-med track.
For past week, I've been thinking if pre-med is what I really want to do.
I have to study for another 10 years to be a doctor, and if I don't like studying for it, then my life will be so miserable.
So, for the second semester, I am trying different classes.
But, I have few worries...
Since from the high school, I only thought of becoming a doctor.
I feel so stupid for not trying variety of activities.
So, I'm worried if it's too late trying something new.
But, I want to do something creative for my future job.
Is there any major/job relating a lot of creativity?

Writing, architect, fashion industry, music industry, animation and video game design, and even the film industry are what come up in my mind. Most of these, as far as I know, are highly competitive like most fields but requires you to be extremely independent to build a great portfolio to land the best jobs in them.

Architecture is awesome. You could also get an excellent sense of accomplishment seeing your designs built.

If you want to stay on the medical track, you can go pre-pharmacy. The schooling isn’t nearly as long as going to medical school and such, and many schools offer auto-advancement programs so you’re only in school for 6 or 7 years of undergrad and you walk out leaving with your pharmD.

If that doesn’t float your boat, perhaps maybe something in the speech pathology or audiology field? (Many schools will combine the two into one major and call it Communication Sciences and Disorders). Either path will lead you to learning about disorders and problems, and therapy tactics to learn how to fix them. Many of my friends in Pharmacy school say that if they were to change their major, Speech Path is the way that they would go. Speech Pathologists are in extreme high demand, so a job is nothing to worry about. They are in so much need that some schools are hiring people straight out of undergrad, even though you really need to go to grad school for 2 or 3 years to get a masters.
