Major?

RPI is good at which aspect?

Engineering yes. But what engineering?

Civil? Computer?

How about natural sciences like physics. Anyone? =/

well i guess it’s pretty good for natural sciences…it has a combined BS/PhD program for physics, but it’s definitely not known for the natural sciences…

I think Mechanical and Chemical Engineering are the biggest ones at RPI

RPI has pretty strong engineering programs across the board, as can be seen from the large course offerings, quality of instruction, and research oppertunities for undergrads. Their science programs also seem to have very good grad school placement (the physics department sends about 1/4 of their students to top grad schools each year).

Thanks for the info. I think I’m applying for physics.

its one of those schools that just simply doesnt get too much recognition, but if you do well there its well respected enough to provide a gateway to a good grad school… kinda ironic

It doesn’t matter now, I’m not applying. I already got an offer. : D
