I have read that if you want to major in something popular, such as "Economics" or "Biology", it is better to put down "undecided". However, if my activity list clearly reflects that I want to go on the premed track (hospital volunteering, research, etc), is better to just put down "Biology" or "premed"? I really want to maximize my chances. Thanks.

You won’t get into a school you’re not qualified for just by saying you don’t know what you want to study. If you’ve been doing hospital work and appropriate medical/scientific research, indicating your intended major will show how these activities are important to you.
