Last year, I heard a senior say that "putting down doctor or med as major will lower your chances, because then you have to compete with the other med people in the med pool, who have very strong credentials"
i put economics for major and law for vocation,
would that put me into a pool of strong applicants and thus lower my chances?

I have a similar question . . . if i want to be premed do i put premedicine or biology?

Putting "premed" under "major" just looks stupid since Harvard lacks that major.
