Majoring in Cognitive Science?

Hey guys,

I need a lot of help. I just got into the University of Michigan for Fall 2019 as a Transfer student. At my current school, I am majoring in Computer Science, but, I have been slowly realizing that I have been losing my passion for coding and that I am more interested in studying the human- computer interaction side of things and looking into UX design.

I have been looking into the Cognitive Science major on the “computation & cognition” track and have been thinking about pursuing this and possibly minoring in Computer Science.

I have a lot of side projects on my portfolio already, and I feel as though I could be a pretty marketable candidate, but I have not been able to really find any information about possible jobs that Cognitive Science majors with a minor in CS could obtain.

Does anyone have any idea of the job outlook/ possible jobs that I could get going this route? I am interested in going into tech as well as medtech, especially (I am really interested in working on biomedical instruments/ machines and the interfaces/ programs for those). And, would say that Cognitive Science is a pretty decent major?

Thank you!
