Majoring in Economics and Finance at UCONN Storrs

Hi Everyone,

I was accepted to UCONN's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences as an economics major, but I want to major in finance or marketing also in the School of Business. Do you think this is possible? Is anyone doing this and do you know if I have to wait until sophomore or junior year to apply to the School of Business even though I haven't even started college yet?

Thank you!!

It is very possible I believe you can not even apply to the business school until you have completed 40 credits which would be after your first semester of sophomore year. You need to take some courses before applying like macro and micro econ, calc, statistics, freshman english seminar, and accounting. The business school has limited space for current students so it can be competitve. As long as you do well in the required classes and your gen eds when you are applying you should be fine.
