Majors for transfer student - PLEASE help

I have recently transferred to a University over the summer and have unfortunately failed my math course. Math such as statistics or precalculus has been something I have struggled with as prerequisites for my business management major.

I am debating on a few alternatives where I wouldn't have to take these math courses. Alternatives include criminal justice, social science with concentration in anthropology, business admin, and economics, or psychology.

A few professions I've considered getting into after earning my bachelors: CPA, teacher, or counselor. Just not sure right now what I'd like to be, I am looking for a good foundation as I would like to attend graduate school.

Is the type of major something I should be concerned with if I will be going to graduate school anyway? If so, what if the most successful major out of my alternatives? What would you suggest?

Business has a lot of prerequisites which have been extremely time consuming so far, I am looking to graduate as quick and efficiently as possible in order to move onto my next step (grad school).

Please advise. Thanks.

As long as you have enough accounting hours, you don’t need any particular major to sit for the CPA exam. Nor do you need grad school; the 150-hour requirement can be met entirely with undergrad classes.

IMHO it will be difficult to pass the CPA exam without some number sense. You don’t have to do much in the way of actual calculation, but you do have to understand the relationship behind the numbers. Intermediate Accounting is the “weeder” class at most schools, and uses the most math - and it’s one you can’t really skip. Cost is math-heavy, but it’s not a prereq for anything.
