majors*majors*majors & what to do?!!

<p>hey guys,</p>

<p>i'm a junior now and i think i need to step it up and start thinking about what i wanna do w/my life. like seriously, contemplate about it.</p>

<p>i am, i admit, a little on the capricious side on this topic. i have no idea what i wanna major in or do in the future. i've thought about finance, econ, int'l relations, int'l business, and psych so far. </p>

<p>we all know that money matters. to say that it doesn't is a complete lie. i mean i gotta be able to afford bunch of stuff when i'm on my own and in order to do that, i need a well paying job. so that's a thing to consider. also i like to travel and go to different places and yet i don't like to be sitting there in a chair all day long.</p>

<p>there are ups and downs for all the majors i mentioned above. the one i really thought about was finance, at least for a while. and at that time i REALLY wanted to go to UPenn (wharton). now i'm not so sure. then my dad suggested law...ahhhh i'm so confused.</p>

<p>i'm generally interested in business, law, psych... so what do you guys think? any inputs? :)</p>

<p>It seems like CC crops up people who intend to major in finance/law. Right now the finance major thing is really hot right now.</p>

<p>Do remember that college kids change their majors many times before they graduate, fact of life. Don't feel bad if you don't really know. Do remember that sometimes what people go into isn't what they started with. Ever hear of the joke "Major whatever you want, then go to law school."? Thats pretty much true according to many.</p>

<p>Just go test things out; can you work at a law office after school? Ask and see what the bank is offering. Sure it may not be alot but at least itll give a good sense of what is going on.</p>

<p>about that finance being the hot thing right now. i think that's one of the major problems cuz it'll make jobs less accessible cuz there'll be so much competition among college grads</p>
