Majors

If you choose a BS/MS (an accelerated bachelors program where you can simultaneously work towards your masters), is it necessarily that you are working towards a master in that subject? Also, can you do a BS/MS in accounting,music and biomedical engineering at the same time?

What? @twogirls

My daughter is in BME. She is not in a accelerated program, but I can’t imagine if she was that she would have time to also major in accounting and music and finish everything for her primary major in four years. She does have a couple minors that are related to her major and is involved in music as an extracurricular. I would recommend talking with an advisor at your school about the feasibility of what you think you want to do.

Thank you so much! @NorthernMom61

Are you asking if taking an accelerated MS program but then dropping out to get bachelors would be faster?

From what it appears, accelerated programs usually just have more heavily focused junior and senior years, so you would only save about a year or so (which is precisely how long the program is).

Oh, I thought that the accelerated program would add on a year to your undergrad studies to get your masters as well as your bachelors.

@RMNiMiTz

Depends on the program.

@SDave03 sorry… I responded and then realized that I made no sense so I deleted it.

Oh, that’s fine! @twogirls

@SDave03

Is there a reason you tagged me?

Oh wait, I thought I wrote a message. Sorry! @RMNiMiTz
