I did some test out of that site and i found them much harder than any sat tests.. Has anybody else done any of those ? Any thoughts are welcomed..

Usually tests on other sites have their tests harder than the actual SAT to be able to tell you that when you get a higher score on the real test, “look how much we helped you improve!” They also do it so that you will try more of their tests so you can see improvement.

yes, majortest, like many other for profit sites, make their tests a bit harder.
these are mainly for psychological reasons for example:
you get a bad score on their site, they give some explanation and gives you the page number to look at on their book for a detailed reason. then you will go buy the book so you will get better.

however, even if it is harder, still take the time to do them. they are free anyways, so why not. and they do resemble practice your sat skills, so they are a helper for preparations

i got so many wrong there and they seemed so much more complicated than barrons or grubers that i felt awfully disheartened. I feel a tad better now, thanks guys

^ Do NOT let “harder” tests dishearten you! But that is yet another reason to stick with real college-board material. I don’t buy the whole “if I practice with harder stuff then the SAT will be easy” argument. Yes, thats how it works with lifting weights, but that doesn’t mean the logic applies to the SAT. In fact, it you are going to use a sports analogy, try this one: getting ready for a basketball game, you decide to spend a lot of time practicing on 11 foot high rims (one foot higher than standard for you n0n-basketball fans). You figure “If I can make baskets on the higher rims, then the real ones will seem easy”. But it doesn’t work that way. You just need LOTS of practice on real basketball courts…in fact, the practice you do on too-high rims will just throw off your calibration. (And will also be disheartening…)
