Any tips for a pre-med trying to make the most (aka, learning the most, getting prepared for grad school, having fun) of the Berkeley experience? It's quite a privilege being able to attend one of the best schools in the nation, and I don't want to screw up.

I have no idea right now how to register for classes, and I know they fill up fast. I want to be able to take some of the cooler classes like Sociology while fulfilling my pre-med prerequisites and taking care of the stuff my major requires (Anthropology). I'm confused as hell right now.

I was also curious as to how good the advising was at Cal when it comes to applying for medical school; do the counselors actually help put you on the path for success if you really ask them for help?

All this stuff is really overbearing and I need some guidance. Thanks.
