bumpppppppppppppp

anyone???????????

does anybody know anything about this school

Hi,

Its a very tiny school so I guess it doesn't attract much attention here! We've visited. My daughter liked it, but was a bit worried about how isolated it seemed. Looks like a car would be a very good thing to have. It also seems that with such a small number of students if you didn't find folks that you clicked with it could be really tough. That's what we heard from someone who's nephew went there. He ended up transfering because he felt too isolated and there just wasn't enough to do.

However, the folks were very friendly. The campus small but pretty, and the academic life seemed good. My daughter enjoyed her interview and found that all the students seemed serious and very involved in their studies esp. in their "plans." Looks like for the right student it could be a wonderful place.

My daughter's applied. If she gets in and it looks like a real possibilty, we will visit again.

As a graduate of Marlboro, I now teach at an elite East coast college. Marlboro is extremely difficult. More so than most. Academics are often overwhelming and you will find very little time for other activities. Professors thoroughly scrutinize your work and there is little grade inflation. The college is more interested in graduating well-qualified students than preserving its graduation rate. Thus the "Plan" must be completed. This includes an oral and written exam judged by a professor/professional from outside the college.

I am glad that I went to school there, as the intense environment made me take responsibilities for my own course of study, implement its design, and produce a polished result. For those who graduate, most go to grad school. The majority attend the top graduate and professional schools in the country. The dedication of my classmates who finished the program was nothing short of amazing and their hard work defintely paid off.
