How the hell....... a 1150 out of 2400! combined score? Thats awful.

Writing section I didnt try so i got 26 right or 6 right apparently but the essay i did try at and got a 9/12 not to bad. so I got a 340 lol!

Math a 380 This was expected as I guessed half of the answers....

Critical reading.... no way I thought I did like amazing on this part.... so I only got a 430.... hahaha, this is absolutley ridiculous, I take timed exams all the time I almost always get above average in CR, and average in Writing and Math....

Should have studied huh? Oh well Im a Junior and ACT's here I come, 1 month to wait for the ACT score If I take it on April 12th....

Is the ACT easier? It seems like it is to me... I take tests and get a 20-24 on them so IDK about the SAT. but I hope I dont have to send my SAT to my college.

Did you even try? That's a very low score...

Some colleges don't require standardized testing. You should look into them.

I think something went horribly wrong here. I would expect someone with that score to not even be capable of writing proper, standard English, which you obviously can do. You should look into getting it scored again. Other than that, I have no idea!

EDIT: I second what Knights09 says. Look into SAT-optional schools. The SAT may just not be your thing.

Man idk lol, At least I know how to write huh... I'm taking the ACT and well see how I get.. thanks for advice/comments

oh yeah I also went to Panda Express today got a fortune cookie saying life is never to late to find a new path.... lol :(!

hey dot worry tooo much

but if u dont try...dont expect a good score =)
take a practice test or two...read up soem strategies and ill gurantee ur score improves by over 200 points....if u legitametly wanna improve ur score that ti

I know you were serious...but I laughed at that.

I don't believe you should laugh at SAT-optional schools. There are some kids that just simply are not good at the SAT. Intelligence is not a quantitative thing measured by little, dark bubbles. ;)

what were u expecting? Haha imagine if someone expected a 2400...and then ended up with a 1100...

Yeah I think I'll do better on the ACT, but well see I'll report back to you guys in a month :P

TAKE THE ACT! it saves lives

I hope it saves mine!!!!!!! It still hasnt hit me.... a ****ing 1150!

it's absolutely true and i don't see why you would laugh at that. there are SO many good schools that do not require standardized testing, including some of the best liberal arts colleges in the nation. my school's college counselors, who send 75% of the grade to ivy's, constantly remind us of this. much of the other 25% go to amazing schools, some of which do not require standardized tests (and thank god, because their sats sucked).

i'm not laughing at the fact that there are optional SAT schools...I already knew that. I'm laughing at the way the poster said it...it seemed comical to me.

o ok sry i misunderstood you

Even a 1150 out of a 1600(for Math and CR, which are the two that matter) is sort of bad. Colleges say that writing doesn't matter, but they'll notice either a high score or a low score, so you don't want them to look down upon a low writing score. Take a Prep course from Kaplan, you definitely need it.

lol yeah, i got higher than a 1150/1600 as a 7th grader...

^^ Hmm, maybe you didn't mean it that way, but what a fitting username....

eh, just saying =P
