3rd - 640 CR, 720 WR, 730 Math June

now i took the october test in hopes of raising that 3rd score by at least 100 points. I was taking practice tests and getting 2200+ consistently on them... and i was simply so amazed at my october results i started laughing.

640 CR ROFL

the writing score wouldve been the same if i got an 11 essay. or even 10 points higher, but i was seriously expecting 800 on this. It was by far the easiest writing i took. And, i was expecting 2200+, but 2030 ouch. I applied to stanford SCEA yesterday, and i hope this wont hurt me. I probably will get rejected most likely.

I dont want to blame it on the collegeboard pencil, but during the test i accidentally bubbled in problems for the above section and had to erase a lot stuff. The eraser was not any good, and left pretty significant marks.

what do you suggest i do? i already sent in my 2030 -_- how bad will they look at it... i retook a 4th and probably unnecessary time and got lower. lol thats looks really bad i'm guessing?

worth retaking 5th time in december? im very confident i can get around 2250-2300 range(800 writing), 800 math. I just need to handle the pressure. And, to leave my SAT test taking days behind me with a failed attempt is torture to me :(

Your scores are pretty consistent, so it makes no sense to take the test again. Instead, concentrate on your applications, especially on the essays, and try to make yourself stand out in other ways.

i already submitted my application to stanford/michigan, so i have nothing else to do to improve my application to these schools, except SAT's... what do all of you think? im really in a dilemma... :(

Raise the CR. A 640 is not bad. But you do need a higher one for say stanford/michigan i think. Again I didn't apply there so I don't know too much about them but I am pretty Umich is very competitive. And you have a 2090. Not a 2030.. because colleges combine.

You need to trust your applications. That's all that you can do. Remember, perfect SAT score applicants are often turned away in favor of lower scoring ones. It all depends on the complete picture the ad com forms of each.

But you are forgetting. People always say this. Perfect SATs dont get in. Yes i agree with this. However the opposite is true also. Low SATs dont get in too often either. I am not saying 2090 is low... but I am kind of understanding people now. I really would like the number in the high 2100's (kind of pleasing to look at. Like seeing the number 2090 over 2150 seems so much wierder).

how long do you guys think hand scoring takes to process???

after seein the general curve... there is no way i got 710 in math. I got 3 raw score points off, and those were very simple problems. I.e. 1,2 level difficulty. and, those were all that i got wrong on CC so i dunno what to think of my scores.

yeah i feel the same way. My math score went down from a 660 to a 620, even though I only left out 1 answer in all the math sections. ANd i practiced my ass off before this test. I wanted to get at least 720-730ish --;;
I still cant believe it and have ordered my original test and answer sheet. They say, however, that it will take 3-5 weeks to deliver. 3-5weeks for 18$? what a rip off ><
