Management Consulting vs. Investment Banking

I'm a college student interested in these two fields of the business world. I have been more interested however in management consulting.
I also read this article that mentions some pros and cons between the two and I was wondering how truly these really are.

And please share any insight you have at all on these two.

1: Investment banking makes larger six figure salaries 50 to 100% more of consulting salaries.

2: Longer hours in banking (14 to 16 hours), more travel in consulting and long hours (10 to 12 hours).

3: Heavy technical and logistic skills in banking, more presentational skills in consulting.

4: Little to average interactions and networking and more independent work in banking, strong influence of teamwork and large reliance on networking.

5: Most opportunities to work in are in finance for banking, consulting can easily cover a vast array of sections in the business world.

By the way here's a link to the article, it in my opinion does feel a little bit biased towars management consulting since it was produced by a consultant.
