Management Information Systems vs Accounting?

Which one is better in terms of job prospects, pay, and fun?

I think Computer Science is a better, harder version of a MIS degree, CS requires calculus whereas MIS usually doesn’t. MIS if you prefer coding, Accounting if you like numbers and theory. Pay is so variable on the market and where you live. One of my friend’s left IT to become an entrepreneur and Another entrepreneur I knew wrote a program without beyond high school. iT requires certifications. My ex-boyfriend had to renew his expired certifications in between jobs, but unemployment covered it. Depends which you’d enjoy more.

The career with better job prospects and that will be more fun will be dependent on which area is better suited to your interests and aptitudes. Take some classes in both and see which you prefer. Do keep in mind that to become a CPA you now need 150 credits so many go on for a 1 year masters degree to meet that requirement before starting work so that may be a factor for you.
