Managment vs. Economics? Which is better in order to become an investment banker?

My school doesn't have Business Ad as a major just Management. However, there is a Economics program.

Which major would be better in order to become a Investment Banker?

Thanks ;)

Econ, hands down.

How does a finance degree do in admissions?

finance and econ are both better than management and they both pay better.

I think that depends heavily on the school. For example, in most years, the management majors at MIT Sloan are paid better on average than the MIT economics majors. A higher percentage of them seem to become investment bankers as well.

I suspect that the major, frankly, has practically zero effect on increasing your chances of becoming an investment banker. True, many econ majors do become Ibankers, but that almost surely has to do with the fact that many inspiring Ibankers happen to choose econ, rather than that the econ major itself actually boosts ones chances.
