Does anyone know of a list of mandatory S/NC courses? Or if you know of any mandatory S/NC courses at all, that would be great too! Thanks!

Some I can think of:

CHEM 0100 (very intro Chem)
A lot of TAPS and VISA classes (dance/acting, visual art, etc)
Some music department ensemble classes
MATH 0060, 0090 (analytic geometry, intro intro calc)
A few fiction/screenwriting classes

Basically, there are two types of courses offered S/NC:
- “Remedial” courses - things you were expected to have taken in high school. They make these mandatory S/NC so you can’t take them to pad your GPA.
- Artistic classes where it’s difficult to grade work. You’re often workshopping pieces and playing music where you can’t really grade on a numerical scale.

religion gone wild.

Every single VISA class I’ve ever taken, I took for a grade. The workshops in the Lit Arts and English departments, on the other hand, are all mandatory S/NC
