Ok... I was never planning on applying to really, really good schools, like Princeton or MIT. But after I took the SAT a second time and did much better I figured I should. However, upon looking at their websites I realized that an SAT II in Math and Science is required for Engineers (which is what I am going to major in). I have taken only the Us history SAT II. My problem is that my science classes have not been that stellar or intense. I am taking AP Bio next year but that would be too late to take an SAT. I took Chem and Physics sopho and junior year, but non-AP and not really that intense. Is it possible to study for the Chem SAT II (my chem classe was def better than physics) and still do well. And I am also assuming that I need a 750+ for schools like Princeton. Also can the same be done for MAth II (I will be in AP Calc next year, though)? Has anyone else had this problem?

I haven't had this problem but it wouldn't hurt to try taking them anyway. I know people who have self-studied a lot of the material and were able to get good scores. Best of luck to you.

Chem - yes, it's possible to study for it on your own. Many of my friends did so and ended up with 750+. Go get some review books and start studying ASAP, and you'd probably be ready by one of the fall test dates.

Math II - Since u'll be in calc next year, I'm assuming u were in precalc this year... if that's the case, then ur in good shape for Math II, which covers HS math up to and including precalc. Go get a review book and start reviewing.
