This is very bad especially if you consider where we're at in our schedule. We need to be at 100% for Penn State and Iowa.

I think we can still manage. A good team doesn't rely on one player. Arrington has been playing well the past two games. Mike Hart and the rest of our backs need to keep doing what they've been doing.

Sounds like he'll be back by Ball State/Indiana to get prepped for the OSU game. We should be able to adjust for Penn State. Iowa's scared me since the beginning of the year.

I understand that Mario could be ready as soon as the Iowa game, but I would guess that he will be given at least 3 weeks of rest and will probably not be used until the Ball State game. He definitely should be made to play asome before the OSU game to get back in the swing of things. I agree that PSU and Iowa are scary but I think the Defense and our Offensive line and Backfield are going to dominate.

Cry me a river. You were going to lose to Ohio State with or without him.

Why are you worrying about Iowa and PSU? Iowa has squeaked by mediocre opponents (see Iowa State and Syracuse, and Illinois to an extent). It's a joke that they are ranked where they are. PSU has gotten blasted by anyone who isn't average. They should be 3-3 right now, if it wasn't for a blown call in the Minnesota game. Neither of those teams should be challenges.

We're playing in Happy Valley, a night game, and this is the one game they care about this season. Having heard what people had to say about the Penn State-OSU night game last year, that is a very scary thing.

Iowa just squeaked by some of those earlier games because Tate was injured.

It's good news that Manningham's surgery went successfully and that he'll probably be ready around the Ball State game but Michigan needs to maintain the momentum they have now until they play OSU.

Yeah, lets be thankfull that the Injury wasn't too bad. Lloyd Carr said what they heard about it was "very good news"

Penn State was a different team last year. I'm worried about Iowa. They always give us a run for our money.

That's what Northwestern, Indiana, and Ball State are on the schedule for.

Anyways, Breaston and Arrington are both high qaulity wide receivers. Assuming the injury is as (relatively) minor as they're saying, I'm really not that worried.

I meant that I was concerned because Michigan needs to keep winning in order to maintain that momentum; but since Manningham's can't play and he's a key factor in Michigan's winning record, Michingan is more at risk to losing that momentum.

Actually, Michigan has no control over the NW and IU games, because the Big 10 schedules them. Ball State is a momentum maintainer game.
