I don't know if I should cancel the scores or not. I really feel that I did exceedingly well. I wrote an awesome essay (10-12 range), had 4 body paragraphs with an intro + conclusion, so I really developed my 1 example well. I felt math and sentence completions were REALLY EASY; I don't know why everybody was calling the sentence completions as hard. Now I've gotten kind of concerned because I could have messed up some of the sentence completions, but I always get at most 1 wrong on those, so idk.
There were 2 weird reading questions: one asked about the different usages of "patriot...patriotism" in the double passage; the answer choices were: (literal, metaphorical, cynical, respectable, sarcastic). I left that one blank. Also, there was one about the photograph where it asked why the author would use "something...stigmatism...something"; that word means focus on something. I narrowed it down to B and D; B said "insisting that..." and D says "emphasizing that the woman in the photograph felt bad about her current condition," so I chose D as the more mellow answer. What do u think? Should I cancel? I'm aiming for near the 2300 range, and I know i left 1 blank CR, 1x Writing, but I'm pretty confident on everything else.

Jim there is probably some basketball on today, why don't you watch some instead of reliving the test in graphic detail. Some of you kids amaze me, go to a movie with your friends, there is more to life that this obsession.

I'm perplexed that you are so confident that you missed only a few questions, none of which were on math, yet aren't intelligent enough to look up past curves and see how that translates to a scaled score.

Oh, wait a minute! You have looked at the curves, you say? What's that? You know perfectly well that three or four wrong across two sections is WELL over a 2300 (your answer to the "emphasizing" question was incorrect)?

So why did you make this thread?

He wants his ego to be stroked.

What a pompous poster. Why would you EVER ask if you could cancel your scores if you feel that you did well in every section? Jesus Christ, some people on this board are ridiculous.

I usually feel very confident when I take practice tests as well, but I end up getting in the high 21 to low 22's. The reason is because I overlook things and make embarrassing mistakes. Besides, if you just came out of a test feeling great, but everybody around you, who you know are intelligent people, say it was fairly difficult, wouldn't you feel a little worried? Especially because this test counts a lot at the schools I want to go to.
I

yes, but if you feel you did so well why even consider cancelling it to begin with? no matter how many times you take it, i doubt you will ever walk out of the test room feeling like you got all of them right.

I would not worry about it it's over!!!

I'd focus on waiting for the scores and seeing how you did. If you want to plow through the data then get the score reports and think about additional prep work to do for the next go around if you choose to take it again. Work on your backup plan also in case you just aren't going to be able to reach the schools that you have targeted today.
