There were 2 essay questions?!!?

and in response to Alebed (I think), the question that they were asking about said something like "Which of the following do both authors imply that is not directly stated?"

I feel very insecure about the writing section (not the essay) but I would have to agree that the math was not terribly difficult.

Writing was ridiculously easy!

anyone explain x^2 = x/40 ; x=1600?

...and it definetely didn't feel like 4 hours. I got there at 7:25 AM-ish and left the test center at 12:26-ish, and as I was coming to the final sections of the test, I noticed I wasn't even feeling tired. And that was without even eating breakfast this morning (though I did have about a 1/4 full of a sandwich bag of Raisin Bran halfway through the test :))

I think it also had a cube that was divided into a bunch of smaller cubes too.

Aignam, this isn't supposed to make anyone feel bad. Got it?

i hated the CR section ! asdf

use a ti 89 to solve :) 1600 is right

lol, smokeylarue, i'm not sure about anything until i get my score report. i thought it was a pretty straightforward section though, what specific answers seem iffy to you?

(and i don't think i know a ben from nj...)

lol still don't get it.....1600^2 = 2560000 & 1600/40=40 ....am i readin the question wrong ?

Well if you multiply 40 by 40, you get 1600. Which means the square root of 1600 is 40 (because 40^2=1600) and when you divide 1600 by 40, you get 40.

It took me a while to think of it like that, I had to skip it and come back to it. The way they worded it made it kindof confusing, I think

1 wrong math (stupid mistake) = 800?

I hope so

me too, but i think the math curve will be really harsh. I just hope it wont be as harsh as that of the psats (800, 760, 730)

there was no question about cubes

The 24 right angle cube question was on this one, wasn't it? Or was that the other test?

If you didn't think that Writing was easy today, it means you were unprepared. That's your own fault.

Math and Writing are two things which you can prepare for and see very clear improvement. There's no excuse.

for my essay i got some prompt about whether we need creativity or not, did anyone else get that?

it think it was rbase07....im not possitive but im pretty sure...was that section experimental???

much easier that the 8 new sats in the sat book
