I didn't even do Alge II, just got Alge I and Geometry.
And I almost definitely did better than you. :)

than who...?

I didn't take the new SAT today, as i took the old one and scored a 1540. If need be, ill take the new sat in june or somethin. I was just really ****ed off that they didnt offer any sat ii's for today, but i also felt lucky i didnt register for today since i had a bunch of hw.

bump??????

at the end of the test i looked back through the answer sheet pages and saw TONS of those marks made from pressing the pages together that whisperwind mentioned, all over the essay too. unfortunately the proctor was only a few steps away from collecting the sheet so didn't have time to clean up. hope this doesn't kill my score...

programmer. person. thing.

Hopefully at least 600 in Verbal and Writing, probably around 400 or 450 'ish for Math.... (burns Cambridge Prep book, curses it forever)

thanks ohio mom- I want to be a creative writing/journalism major..so, my essay was really good..its just, I was worried the whole time about my penmanship, which as I said is readable but not the best. Im glad you told me about your son's 6/6. thanks.

I don't know... I've always found the math to be quite easy except for the few tricky questions with nitches. I took the SATs a couple times in middle school and scored 700+ in math then, so I don't think it's that big of a deal, it just tests your ability to take math tests. Verbal on the other hand... I don't like.

Don't insult people over the SATs. Since when did it actually test someone's intelligence or knowledge? The SATs is 40% knowledge 60% knowing how to take the SATs anyways.

2000 exactly

Math is by far my favorite subject and I think i owned the CR..lol go figure...

Huh. I'm in middle school and it's the exact opposite for me.
Verbal is good, math on the other hand...

wow, 450ish??

i hope to God ur kidding, as sarcasm is kind of hard to pick up over the internet

I was shooting for 2150, but I suppose 2000 even will do, for now

hmm...hopefully...; )

680ish verbal
750ish writing

::sighs:: 500 math hopefully.

Same goal, ivy.
But 2300+ appears in my fantasies...

We all have to realize that everyone is different; I know this one guy who is self-taught in Geometry (they messed up his schedule somehow, so he never got a Geometry class => I told him to sue the school, but ya, that's a different story). He did very well on the SAT's as well (Old one). It's all about how innately intelligent you are, how hard you have studied in school, and how good you are at psyching out the ETS crew over at Central.

Everyone's mind works differently; one may be better at one section than another; one may not take tests well; there are so many variables to taking the SAT that the actual source of the problem could be anything.

Well said, programmer.

hopefully, the math section i did badly on will be the experimental one

damn math to hell

ne suggestions for boosting the math for next time?

Get Barron's Math Workbook. Work with it until the next time.
:)

Nein, das stimmt nicht. Naturlich bin ich der Ubermensch. Ich kann nichts falsch machen.
