March 12 SAT Compilation of verified answers - Math

i think the graph was "a", playeach at each one, with filled and unfilled dots.

xindianx-that section is not experimental, cuz my experimental was a writing section and I had that math section

for the RECALCULATE THE AVERAGE

it read like this, the [lower number (75?)] was USED INSTEAD of [higher number 95] and then the same for another group of 2 numbers so dont you have to ADD 30?

therefore, it didn't give you the number that you were supposed to substitute in first, it gave the incorrect values first...

no, its the other way around. the higher number was used instead of the lower numbers. I'm almost positive.

anyone remember putting 12 for one of the grid ins? p = 12?

Um, I got 85 for the average question. I did it twice and I got 85...

darn i totally didnt understand or get that graph question...UGHhh

by the way...is the 6pi vs. 12pi question still up in the air?

12 pi is final

do any of you guys remember a question that goes something like ax^2+bx^2+cd+ad and they give u value of c-d or something similar liek that?

ok no one seems to have addressed this question

it was 2nd to last on one math section

if you throw 2 dice, each labeled 1-6 for the 6 faces, what's the probability of getting a number that has a common factor with the other number???

the answer choices were always something/36 (since you do /6 * _/6)

i couldn't figure it out! and i also have no idea which section was experimental cause i thuoght i only had 3 math sections but now i'm not so sure...

DID ANYONE ELSE GET THIS QUESTION??

oh crap...i got that question, and i too did not get it (ran out of time)

i don't think i got that question. my experimental was a verbal section, so the dice question was probably an experimental.

stupidsofthesmart i got that question, the answer was 13/36 - but no worries, that question was part of the experimental section.

btw, does anyone remember the question where T was the answer?

do any of you guys remember a question that goes something like ax^2+bx^2+cd+ad and they give u value of c-d or something similar liek that?

oh, my problem, similar to yours, did not have dice, it was just a set of numbers {1,2,3,4,5,6} and asked for some probability of having 2nd pick/1st pick as an integer?

ANYONE?

ironchef - t was an answer for one of the multiple choice ones, it was like

the average of t and t+2 equals x, and the average of t and t-2 equals y, so what is the average of x and y (I think that was it)

Here are my gridins:
9. 89 cm-plants growing
10. 200 squirrels initially
11. 75-collective perimeters of triangles
12. 3 (Marbles problem)
13. 12 (Dont remember)
14. 0.5 (the absolute value one i think)
15. 1600 (dont remember)
16. 5/8 shaded rectangle
17. 1/3 (dont remember)
18. 2.5 (x and y inequality one, lowest possible value of y)

So far I got a perfect math section. I have one i think i got wrong, but it may have been experimental:
You are shown a right triangle with measures of the height and base in terms of x. You are asked how many of that triangle could fit into a square of x side length, provided that the triangles dont overlap. The answer is the area of the square, x^2 divided by the area of the triangle. I cant remember if the area of the triangle was (x^2) divided by 4 or 8.
Another problem, definitely on experimental:
Circle circumference divided into 9 segments, measure of angle x=160, because there are 4 segments or something.
Triangle Reflection across a line, C? I think that was experimental also.

For the stamp collectors...where the answer was 85....my friend claims that the question was different than I thought it was. Does anybody know the exact wordings or numbers used in that problem?

everyone, stop asking. The yin yang question answer is 12 pi. I am 250% sure.
