I got 760…I mean it’s fine but I though I’d only gotten 1 or 2 wrong so…

just scraped my target :D

I was debating canceling this score until the Wednesday after the exam (up until around 11PMish).

Really wish CC, friends, and parents didn’t talk me out of it…

Jan CR - 680
Mar CR- 640

Overall this was a crappy test. Tanked my January 2210 into below a 2100 on the March exam.

Got exactly what I wanted, a 730, for a 2250 superscore. A lot better than my last time I got a 570 on CR

I was scoring about 700-ish on blue book practice tests, yet I wound up with a 620 CR score! I think it was that one passage about the Asian family that wrecked me. All I used was the blue book, what did you 750-800’ers use to study?

Um, I finished the Princeton Review (liked it!) and did some out of the Kaplan (terrible book for CR, IMO). The week and a half before the test, I worked 1 section or two a day out of the blue book 2nd edition. Got an 800 :)

I got a 2360, with a 760 on reading. I thought this test was a lot more ambiguous than a lot of the practice ones from the blue book

I know I missed 2 straightforward questions but I got a 760 so I’m happy. :)

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread and good luck to those who are going to tackle the May SAT.

just wondering, but wouldn’t 2 wrong (basically -2) typically be 780-800? was there a harsh curve, or what?

Ok, I got at least 2 wrong according to the answers on the forums (doesn’t include world series question we’ve debated) and received an 800. Russ knew 100% he missed two and missed some more to arrive at a 760.

The electoral process part… that killed me. The space thing was difficult, too. I ended up with a 640, a very “eh” score.

hey giatns4210 whatd you do to take your score from a 570 on the CR to a 730? im in the same boat as you…got a 550 on the CR but i want to increase my score so any help would be awesome! :)

Ugh, got 10 wrong. And 9 wrong on the math. This is where I was when I started studying; I pretty much didn’t improve my scores at all from when I began to study.

That sucks AKShockwave. But just know that blind studying won’t really raise your score. You have to study in a way that allows you to identify your weaknesses and hone in on those.

For example, if your weakness in math is careless mistakes on questions you absolutely knew how to solve…then solution isn’t “let’s do more practice tests and hope I’m more careful next time.” The solution is pinpointing what kinds of careless traps you fall into. Do you frequently mistake perimeter for area? Or double instead of half? Or find x when they are asking for xy? etc.

why didn’t my CR go up as much as i wanted, when that is the only thing I focused on for the past months, and when my writing and math went up by tons… maybe studying for CR will help you on math and writing for me…
a 640 in CR making my total score 2220… I hope you guys did better than me

Lol, that sucks too, Meburi. But CR is notoriously difficult to raise because it’s more immune to quick tips and strategies, much more so than math and writing. CR actually requires strong reading fundamentals to do well, which are developed over years, not a two to four month study program.

yes, I totally agree. people who have read English writings are totally at an advantage over those who have not. In my case, as an immigrant, I am automatically at a disadvantage :(

My reading score was actually much lower than I expected…I’m actually suspecting a bubbling error. Does this happen often? I’m 2270 superscored though, I guess I’m somewhat satisfied. But I got a 237 on the PSAT! It makes no sense :(

:p Guess it wasn’t neutrality. I was in a conversation several weeks ago and got a better understanding of what skepticism actually means, as opposed to the pop-culture/mainstream meaning. It kind of just hit me, and then I was like “oh crap I was wrong”. I got a 760 anyway, which I doubt any college will penalize me for, so not too worried. Have you had any luck tracking down the questions to the test? I find it annoying they don’t easily allow you to review your errors.

… because they’ll reuse parts of this test later. One day, it’ll become released… maybe.
