***March 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

I said notions for the impressions one, and mysterious stranger for the plastic one.

Does anybody remember the specific wording of the kite question. Was 40, half the vertical height, the entire vertical height, or the length of the horizontal length of the left triangle?

@ayeaye231
Good point :/

@carlybellis555
Got both of those answers too

I found the CR much easier than January and most practice tests (especially the sentence completions with the exception of one question.) I would have predicted this CR curve to be -1 790 but I must be wrong because everyone on this thread thinks otherwise.

I didn’t find the math hard but it was certainly harder than January. I don’t think I did well because, based on this thread, I made tons of dumb mistakes. I would guess that it’s a relatively normal curve.

The writing was certainly easier than it normally is but not by much. I wouldn’t expect a terrible curve. I HATED the essay topic but, again, that’s just me.

Predicted curves (based on this thread, my experience, that .pdf with all of the released curves (google “sat math curves” and it’s the first result), and ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■[.]com/sat-score-calculator/ )

CR: 800 800 780 770 760 740 720 710 690
M: 800 780 750 720 710
W (Subscore): 80 77 74 72 70

I may be completely off but that’s just my feeling. Honestly, if I didn’t feel confident with my CR score, I would cancel my SAT entirely. I can almost guarantee that I will go down in math and writing.

I’m pretty sure that it’s a “mysterious stranger.”

I forgot the exact wording of the passage, but I’m 90% that I’m right.

@frostyy

So you think a -7 is likely to be at 700 or above? -8 in December was a 670 :/

What was the mysterious answer for the question in the Bijah passage? I put to continue an explanation. Also, was the answer to a vocab something and judicious?

Is there a general consensus on the grammar question (section 10 I think) about the goats grazing, and it was either A) whose, or E) :their? I was stuck between those two, and I’ve seen conflicting opinions here

@indianboy2400

I got continue an explanation.
And I got judicious for one

@indianboy2400

But I don’t remember the first word

@mathandmusic914 Do you mean 7 wrong or 7 points off (i.e. 7 omit)? I think that this curve will be pretty much average or harsher than average so I would guess that 7 wrong no omits would be a 700. I would use ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ [.] com / sat-score-calculator and play around a bit to see where your score would fall.

Darn it, the only two I missed in the CR were vocab…■■■…I hope thats still an 800.

@akrupinski I said E) :their and I’m pretty sure it’s correct because in the A) whose one, the whose would be referring to the grass, not the goats.

@frostyy I meant 7 wrong none omitted (I know i missed 3 for sure but am predicting porbably a couple more). Ok I hope so. I’ll check out the site

On writing, does anyone remember the last 4 identify the error questions? I know #29 insured should have been ASSURED. There was one (#27, i think) that said something was compared TO something and TO was underlined. Was that ok? What was the error in that sentence?

“To” was right. What was the insured question?

Also, I had experimental cr so I don’t know which passages counted. Did these?

  1. Lucy and Abijah ( everyone is calling him the wrong name…lol)
  2. Long Dual passage on Smell
  3. Plastic
  4. Cooking with a stone this guy finds
  5. dual short passage on acupuncture
  6. ?
    7)?

What were the other 2. I guess they were the other 2 short passages?

<a href=“Plastic: A Toxic Love Story - Susan Freinkel - Google Books”>Plastic: A Toxic Love Story - Susan Freinkel - Google Books;

Plastic passage

does anyone remember the question on writing that dealt with a comparison between two languages: Cantan, the second language was underlined. Can someone verify that the answer was “that of Cantan”

It was those of Catalan because those refers to roots… I think
