Anybody remember the math problem with 3 points - A, B, & C-- which of the following is not possible? AB - BC > CA, etc or something like that. I couldn’t figure that one out…

What did you guys get on the math problem with the stars? I believe it was one of the last questions. I got 16 star

@blakeballer22 It was 8 star. 8^2 equals 64 which is roughly equal to 7^2 plus 4^2

the highest even integer one?

I got 8 star

ah **** I think i misread that…. pissed

For CR:

For Bijah I got continue an explanation, small unrelated details lead to significant insights, informed speculation…

What did you guys get for the olfactory “impressions”? The answer choices were notions, memories, images, and I can’t remember the other two.

And what about the whole thing with plastic having an unknown past. The question was like, which one of the following is most analogous to it? I was stuck between a sculptor using an unconventional material and a mysterious stranger of an unknown identity.

@Meliorus Yeah. It’s def 8 star.

1) What was the answer to that smelling answer passage…? How did Turin feel about the views expressed in paragraph one? It was like overwhelming, dramatic, inadequate. The author of the passage said that Turin thought that the views were “wrong.”
2) What would the author of passage 2 come to disagree with (something like that). The answer choices quotes specific lines from the text. I put something super sciency about molecules or w/e

For the bijad passage, did you guys get deepening mystery and to explain more (smething like that, it was talking about the purpose of the last paragraph)?
Oh, and what would further substantiate the scenario? I put A. I changed my answer from deed to the land to something about cost/labor.

for the passage about plastic, what is Francle’s attitude towards plastic? I put reverence. people are saying it’s excitement but I dont even think I saw that on the exam.
What does the example about “children waking up with broken plastic toys, plastic garbage bags ripping” primarly serve to do? It was either provoke a sense of disappointment, or to show a gradual decline. I put gradual decline because the sentence right after it talks about how things turned around in the 1950s and the quality improved… not sure?

For the questions about acupuncture, what were the main differences between the two passages?

@hawkace

What was the star question exactly?

For the questions about acupuncture, what were the main differences between the two passages ?

@Green1997 1. inadequate
2. Don’t remember
3. Don’t remember but purpose of the last paragraph was to prove that the hypothesis is still unproven and that there are still some things to consider
4, attitude- excitement
5. was about to put down evoke emotion, but it traces gradual decline
6. acupunture- one talks about how some acupuncture work but not all. have an open mind
other- dismisses acupuncture and ignores the research

@Green1997 - It was excitement, evoke a sense of disappointment

@Fr0zenfury It was like nstar = n^2 or something. not sure

did any of you guys get a reading passage about facial features and how they affected voting and such. It had a weird table at the end and really weird questions that were connected to each other.

@blakeballer22 It wouldn’t evoke sense of disappointment if the next sentence talks about how plastic is now treated as inferior. “The damage was done”

Green1997…

1) I’m almost positive it was inadequate.
2) don’t remember that one, but it sounds familiar

I got deepening the mystery because they found all this evidence and drew some likely conclusions but were then left with even more questions, which were the two scenarios. So yea, I put deepening the mystery. And I also put to continue an explanation.

I put excitement, and for the toys and all I put evoke examples of disappointments or something like that, I don’t know though, can’t remember for sure what I put for that one…

@green1997
- inadequate
- idk
- i said the purpose was to show discrepency because the final two sentences in the paragraph were compare and contrasting.
- i said the deed would farther substansiate the scenario
- excitement was there and that was definitely the asnwer
- It’s to provoke disappointment. I first put gradual decline but the word “gradual” is not adequate there. Nothing was “gradual” about the situation.
- It definitely doesn’t ignore research. They author acknowledges the research, but dismisses it. I didn’t put open mind and dismisses… i forgot what i put

What did you guys get for
- olfactory impressions
- the plastic’s past being most analogous to a mysterious stranger, sculptor using unconventional material, or …

@mathandmusic914

1) i dont remember
2) i put analogous to mysterious stranger but i think it might be wrong… It might be sculptor using unconventional material because the mysterious stranger one was like “at first” mysterious so in the end, one knows what it is… But if ur using an unconventional material, you don’t know what it was in the past (since it’s unconventional) and you don’t know what it would create (the future) since it’s unconventional… idk D:
