@loriyacht I got a 91st percentile score on the SAT with weak conditioning… I was under the impression that the ACT is far more similar to work seen in the classroom than the SAT.
I just called and CB said it would be another 6-8 weeks to receive Q&As if you paid for it. I just canceled my order. Doesn’t do a whole lot of good to get the test to review 4+ months after you took it. Very disappointing!
@joewantstoknow Yes it is.
@loriyacht Wouldn’t it be more difficult for me to prep for, ipso facto?
@joewantstoknow Both will be difficult. You have to willing to work hard. But for the ACT there is a lot of practice material available. For the new SAT, very little.
@loriyacht Ah well, I suppose I’ll just take this June SAT and, if I’m still unsatisfied with the results, practice for the ACT throughout the remainder of the summer.
What would my score of 1450 convert to an old SAT score of?
@jono1325 2080
@jono1325 Converting from new to old requires specific score information. Have you downloaded the SAT Score Converter app?
@Bse15578 Wait how did you figure that out?
Got a 1300. Got 770 in English and 530 in math. Disappointed in my math score. Do you guys know how I can improve, please? Lol, now considering taking the ACT for the first time… Is it worth it? Is easier to get a better score on it, especially in the math portion?
Disturbing that no one on CC is reporting 1600, a perfect score. Hmmmmmm…
1530
Math: 800
English: 730
Guess it’s time for a retake
@chillkitty Disturbing? Oh, College Confidential… Idk, I think seeing some people’s scores here, they’re doing pretty fine omg. You guys are all really smart. Whoever gets a 1600 must be a genius. Idk, but I’m not trying to get into an Ivy League or something.
@cocohorse I just mean that on older versions of the SAT at least a handful of people reported perfect (2400) scores. I think a lot of people on this thread did extremely well, considering the dearth of study materials available.
@Cocohorse on the old test i scored the supposed equivalent of a 1300, and these people make me seem handicapped lol
My daughter took this exam in March and another one that was offered at school in April. Her impression of the two tests was that they were very different. She found the March math to be MUCH more difficult than PSAT or practice tests and definitely harder than the April math. Has anyone out there had a similar experience? Hoping April scores are higher but she is registered for June, regardless.
Advice, anyone? I got a 1550 (750 R + W, 800 M), which is equivalent to a 2280. I know it’s a good score, but I’m aiming for above a 2300(old SAT); should I retake this in June?
My daughter thought that March math was harder than the PSAT. On the PSAT, she got a 750 with minimal prep. She prepared for the March SAT and got a 750 again. She said she ran out of time and had to guess on the last 3 questions.
How can a 1550 equate to to 2280. Its mind boggling, the concordance.
@fairagoura how did you do on the essay? ACT?
1550 of 1600 is amazing.
