March 29, 6pm = Decisions!

Well I would consider myself a really strong applicant, and my interviewer also thought Duke would be crazy not to accept me. My time is 1:16.

HOWEVER, I agree that finding out in advance via the timestamp would be lame. Therefore I think it’s bunk.

And when would they uploaded waitlist decisions? There should be three times not two.

^ thank you… i agree

I agree. Pure nonsense. Perhaps there is more info. in the passwords and IDs. In the end some will go to Duke and others will not. However having said that, just to fluster everyone’s feathers,…I’d rather be in the 1:16 group and I am not. Pozzol. :)

Ah, yes, sorry guys… I doubt there’s any meaning behind these times… I have the 1:16 time and, frankly, I’m quite certain I won’t get in! My decisions so far have been: In @ UVa Echols, NYU, UMD-CP and Waitlisted @ Davidson, Gtown, W&L.

@314159, you are awesome.

I have the 1:16 time as a international. I hope I can get in.

I don’t think coming on here does anything to help my nerv at all -_-
I’m just going to wait for the 29th and stay as far away from here as possible in the meantime.

Good luck for the result day everyone! :)

I am intl and1:16 but I hardly have a chance(satI 2070)

i am a 1:16, 2190 SAT. I doubt I’ll get in, but I wouldn’t mind if the 1:16 theory of acceptance happens to be true.

the only flaw with the 1.16 = acceptance theory is that theres wayyyyy too many of them/us.

I’m 1.16 and I got into Georgetown, USC, wustl, northwestern, notre dame. Deferred then denied at Chicago. Denied at Stanford :(

1.16 COULD be those accepted AND waitlisted? Lol I hope hehe

For everyone wondering if the time thing is true. In the decision thread I created, I included a place for you to put your time of application submission.

When you hit the Logout button in the top-right corner, the screen that follows includes the message wishing you well in your senior year.

applicants, I’m sure you have heard of batch entries? That time stamp may be correlated to the individual who was assigned the first (or second or third) reading of your app; it could be correlated to different administrative assistants who are doing the data entry; it could be correlated to those applicants who have the moon rising in Capricorn.

I am sorry to see so much additional anxiety at such an anxious time!

Hey, my moon is in Capricorn! (for reals)

I guess that explains it!

im a 1:16 and i think im getting in… maybe idk
we will find out in 22 hr 23 min

unfortunately all our theories have been disproven

I PMed all the people who got a likely letter, and one of them said their time stamp was 5:50 (NOT 5:35!)

Hahaha !! Thats about 2 days wasted.

Just checking, but when Duke says 6:00 pm they mean Eastern time correct?

yeah. 10char

I’m looking back at my common application…
sigh.
