March 29, 6pm = Decisions!

This may be a dumber question than how do time stamps correlate with admission decisions butttttt… what the heck is 10char!!!

to lengthen your post, people put 10char…otherwise CC won’t let you post…

Wow bibsuv. After January 1st, I vowed to never look at my Common App ever again! I figure it’ll just stress me out. lol

couldn’t help it :P

I have a habit of regretting things.

I did my ECs SO wrong.

Looking back at those essays was nice though~

looking back at my common app is an incredibly painful experience I subject myself to when ever my head gets too big.

hi! my name is julie. I am about to be rejected from duke in a few hours. nice to meet all of you. :)

Nine and half hrs. Cst

OMG OMG OMG I can’t believe decisions are TODAY.

GL everyone!

Hello every1,

I have also applied to duke this year. What is this time stamp? I am curious. Thanks.

@MAHEEN11: when you log on to the place where your admission decision will be, there is a time stamp (mostly 1:16 or 5:35) saying when your admission status was uploaded. It’s on the first page after you log in.

It says:

Application for Admission

Submission Status: Submitted
Submitted Date: 3/24/2010 (and then a time; a majority of the times are 1:16 or 5:35)

The popular theory has been that the 5:35’s are rejected and the 1:16’s accepted but a 5:35 received a likely letter so the time stamps likely mean nothing.

has anyone received mail or an e-mail from duke saying that their financial aid is incomplete? I’m just wondering

@spiritualwitch: Oh, thanks.

7 hours
27 minutes
Holy beep beep beep

btw, mine is 1.16.

omgomgomgomgomgomgomg!

not gonna be TOO depressed if i get in since i got into chicago, NU and rice already, but I’m hoping for an acceptance nonetheless!

@plumdum229 i hear you. also got into chicago and NU, but duke might top both - not sure yet. it’s nice having some options…

seven hours and counting!

edit- i realize now that i prefer when colleges leave the decision date kind of open. duke is the only school that has given me an exact time and date so far (other than the ivies, on april 1) and it basically leaves me unable to think about ANYTHING else in the hours leading up…

7h40min, I’m freak out. praypraypraytrembling

Guys, chill out, 7 hours is a long time, just relax haha

under 5 hours now…

AAAAAAAAAAHH!

haha i did this for the ED releases and it just made me miserable! Try and focus on something else!
