My birthday is April 1. I am hoping for a great day

ahhh, what is it like 27 days left?... I already got one of those "likely letters" and got invited for dimmensions but I am still waiting for the day... so it can become official...( what if they dont accept me, even after getting a likely letter??)

anyways... this is gonna be so hard.. good thing im keeping really busy with school if not i'd be going crazy... Im gonna hear from Harvard, Yale, Brown, Dartmouth, Duke, Georgetown, Cornell, and Rice.... hopefully I get in somwhere,... anywhere!!

Trust me do not count the days.. try and keep busy.. .. making out with cheerleaders is good... (i never think about april 1st then) ;-)

ps... in case ur wondering its... 648 hours...38,880minutes... and 2,332,800 seconds left till the big day!!!!

As an ED acceptee, I kind of wish I could experience that whole "8 colleges at one time" deal. I feel so out of the game. :(

when it rains, it pours, you know this

As an "8 colleges at one time" (9 actually) person, I REALLY wish that I could experience that whole Already-Know-Where-I'm-Going-To-College thing haha

Isn't it great, though? That on this board are ED acceptees, nervous RD kids, likelied RD kids, underclassmen hopefuls, people who didn't even apply but are curious, alumni, current students, parents of all of the above....and a few random others (cough cough you know who you are) I love that this board is made up of so many different types of people...and yet there still pervades the most overwhelming feeling of kindness and support. as insane and agonizing as the next month will be, I'm really glad that I have people here who understand 100% what I'm feeling.

I totally second that, bluir. Love to you all... April will come before we know it!

in the meantime, who can recommend me a good book to get my mind off it? i've just reread Atlas Shrugged, i need something new lol

dude... "In Cold Blood" by Truman Capote. that book is the beast.

Well if you haven't yet read the DaVinci code.... it's a little sensationalist, but sooooo enthralling.

haha I've read DVC, Angels and Demons, Deception Point and Digital Fortress. But does anyone ever get the feeling that once you've read one Dan Brown book, you've read them all? I dunno, the subject matter is different, but the books all have the exact same format.

babybird, is that book anything like Truman Capote's craaazy short stories? oh hey I found out a while ago that the character of Dill in To Kill a Mockingbird is based on Truman Capote

it's a storylike version of a historical event...a murder that happened in the 50's or 60's, of a four member family...it was pretty intense...and capote went and talked extensively to the killers, befriending them, getting them to tell their story...then he wrote it all like it was fiction.

tis my favorite book. I love his short stories too.

wow that sounds really interesting, i'll have to check it out! thanks!

I love your use of "tis." :)

hee, i say that all the time in school...it's very alienating....

lol. i annoy people by randomly saying things in spanish. even though i dropped AP Spanish to take TCF honors. I'll still break out into Spanish all of a sudden...makes things more interesting. oh and a bunch of my friends and I alienate people by saying things like "I loved that film" instead of "movie" lol

Oh, Spanglish is my penchant, even though I utterly abhor Spanish and will not speak it in class...I'm always dropping me gusta, etc. throughout my speech. fun...

hahah same here! but never in Spanish class. I'll walk around all, "que es esto?" and "no me gusta" and "que estas haciendo?" a couple of my friends and I would ONLY refer to each other by our Spanish names lol. I even started calling my friend Fern and Fernie, from Fernando lol.

Me = Lucia :-D
