March is going to be a LONG month :(

A FULL 31 days..............................:(

Well at least it IS march! (well, in one hour for me...) The month the decisions come out! Augh!

crazy to think about...

Damn... now I feel scared

"March is going to be a LONG month"

Longer than this month anyhow. ;)

I'm trying to find tons of new things to do in order to distract myself lol

just think, though...31 days from today...minus 7 because that whole week, decisions will be mailed out...minus 7 because everyone will be freaking out together on the boards and it'll go fast...so really, only 17 days!

How exactly do we find out whether we are in or not? Online? Email? Snail mail? And what date?

Please someone reply. I also want to know when and how students are informed of the admissions decisions.

ED applicants got a letter and the decision was posted online. Ironically, after I went through all the trouble of digging up my PIN number, I got the letter first anyway.

You'll definitely get a letter through snail mail, but if you got a PIN number and user ID also, then you can check online.

Okay, well that probably didn't help much, but good luck!

do you get a letter in the mail at about the same time as acceptees do if you were rejected?

oh...the wait is agonizing!!!

Does anyone have an exact (or near-exact) date and time when the decisions are posted online? Or when the letters are sent out (or should arrive by)?

I think that (official) letters are not sent before april 1. I'd bet that online notification will happen on the 1st or the 2nd.

lonnnnnnnnnnngest monnnnnnnnnnnnth everrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
i thought december was going to be long, waiting for ONE school EA,
but march,..... and waiting for 8 schools!
these past three days have already been longer than the whole month of december
ahhhhhhhhh

agreed. even with the snow day, this week seems incredibly long. I couldn't believe that today wasn't Friday lol

do you guys realize that they send out decisions on April fool's day? so they could accept us...and then just be like "happy april fool's day!"

haha..jk..although i wonder if they did that deliberately....

or even better, a friend jokingly sends you an acceptance letter from your dream school that you got rejected from a few days ago, and later when you tell them all about how the rejection letter was a mess up and that you really got in they start laughing and tell you that you really didnt....cruel...

haha we were discussing that a long time ago, how the college would send you a letter say "We are pleased to inform you that you have been offered acceptance to Dream University, class of 2009...NOT!"

It is our pleasure to inform you that your application for admission has been enthusiastically rejected. This decision was unusually easy for our committee to make. We concluded that you are not smart enough, not interesting enough, and not attractive enough (we obtained a high school yearbook photo) to attend our institution of higher learning.

In addition to rejecting your application, we ask that you cease cheering for our athletic teams, stop wearing our licensed merchandise (including the boxers), and refrain from saying the name of our institution.

Please do not take this decision personally. We just don't want you.

Warmest Regards,
Dean of Admissions
