March SAT Math Thread

Was the area of the largest square really 3200 and not 800? ■■■.

O i misread the question. :frowning: I already have 4 math errors probably more.

no clock the area was 800

sidelength of largest square = 2x sidelength of smallest square

sidelength smallest square = √(200)

area of largest square = 2√(200) * 2√(200) = 800

(edit: dont worry slight ive got your back!)

looking good for me… Just couldn’t finish the last parabola question in time, (proctor cut us off by two minutes on section 9, anything I can do about that now?), so I left it blank. Assuming everything else was right, what do you guys estimate will be my score?

What was the isosceles question where the answer was 110? I don’t remember it :(

Circle shaded area divided into 6 segments, root 15?

The bounds for this one 1/3<=r/t<=2

Confirm root 15 and 1/3 < r/t < 2

Largest square is not 3200 or 1600 for the last time… Just read the 5+ explanations on this thread alone

Sqr(15) is the area of the six of the circle
1/3 < r/t < 2 is the range

It was an isosceles triangle with a smaller triangle inside it made up of angle bisectors and the bottom of the large isosceles triangle. The angles of the large isosceles were 40, 70, 70. Since they were bisected, 180 - (35 + 35) = 110. It was a student-response one.

xz was the smallest? (x < 0 < y < 1 < z)

Someone please explain the worker question. 5 I dont understand please help lol

also the probability question. 0.4 I dont understand please help lol

Yes, xz was the smallest.

What would score be if you get 2 wrong and omit 1?

^ was like 8/3 pi

argh a stupid mistake-- the n divisibility one, of course i get one of the easiest ones incorrect. i had 2 fill-in sections for math, does that mean that one was definitely exp?

xz was smallest
√(15) was also an answer

xz was the lowest value?

Confirmed xz is smallest

@shahe

Worker q

1 order / 5 min = 12 orders / hr

(12orders/hr)(w)(2hr) = 120

w=5 workers

Root 15 was an answer - confirmed

Can someone explain which answer was sq(15)? I just don’t remember the question…

So far, it looks like 1 wrong. What do you guys think the curve will be?

yes since x must be negative but everything else were positive answers
