March SAT Math Thread

Yes, it was the highest to the left.

okay, what was the last grid-in? i keep seeing answers but i can’t remember the actual question D:

Okay good so a -3 on math which would be 50/54…710-720.

Dammit now I have to retake until I get it up to 770+. Good thing I registered for May. XD

I think the last grid in was the question

2sqrt(x) - x^(k - 3/2) = x^(1/2)

And you had to find the value of k.

yea, that was last grid. i know them all because i correspond every question to each of the ten spaces, but i can’t remember the second page that well.

and the B question was not experimental, i had a writing experimental. the highest difference would have been the highest one, closest to the left. and it was B.

Hey guys, does anyone remember a question (not sure if that was a grid in problem), asking you how many debt per person in the US in n x 10^3.

I put 16, because i divided total amount of debt by the population, and i came up with 16000 per person.

since they are asking n, so i put 16. But i think it is wrong, because a scientific notation must be 1.6 x 10^4 in this case.
So did i misinterpret the question or what?

@davissiu

I don’t think they were asking for scientific notation specifically, so you’re probably safe. I put 16 also.

^no it was 16 because they never said that anything was in scientific notation… tricky though, I agree.

no, it’s 16. It asked what n was in the following notation: n x 10^3

lucky haha got that rite i didn’t think it makes any sense, but i put 16 anyway =)

It was 16.

Thanks for confirmation on the election question.

I think i get around -3 or -4 , so what would be my score?

and for this questions :N is divisible by 2 and 4
does anyone know what exactly the question was?
coz i put I,II,III are correct

i remember i put 8 for N and so it is divisible by 8

oh, so the last grid in was 2, correct? that’s what i put.

no, even though I don’t remember the question exactly, I’m pretty sure choice III was wrong

^ but if you let N be 8, they are all correct?

@laurora, i got 2 as well

@davissiu: If someone remembers the question exactly, I can figure out if you were right.

@davissiu

if n is 4, then 4 is not divisible by 8.
the answer to that one was II. and III.

So what would a -1 be?, 770, that’s gay. even though it was easy, it seems many people made many mistakes, does the curve go by difficulty or how good everydid or both?

the question was:

if n is a number, and 2n is divisible by 8, which must be true?
I. n is divisble by 8
II. n is divisible by 4
III. n is divisible by 2
