So my score hasn't been up the whole day and I called to ask why
and they said that because the difference between my previous test (taken Jan. of 2011 score 1900) and the March test was too great (taken 2 years after), they would have to review my test.

I studied really hard since then and so I'm expecting high 2300's on this test.

Its been 2 freaking years since i took my first test. Why do I have to go through all this?
I heard that I might have to retake the SAT test... what are the chances of that happening?

Anyone else had the same problem? What was it like and what happened to you guys?

Please Help T.T

They said they are reviewing your test. If you did everything legitimately and you didn’t cheat you’ll be fine.

What do you think it means to have a “huge difference” from your previous test?
300 point difference? 400?

What do you think it means to have a “huge difference” from your previous test?

It’d kind of unfair to do this.

I went from 160 psat to 2300 SAT.

Its completely possible if you study hard enough, collegeboard shouldn’t be able to do this.

same thing just happened to my friend!

did you actually copy the cursive statement both times you took the SAT? I know someone whose score was withheld because of a 200 point score increase (although it was only within a few months)

I also took the SAT about a year and a half ago and the collegeboard told me my scores are going to be reviewed for the March SAT. I got 1420(didn’t study) and im predicting 2000-2200(studied quite a while) this time around. They said that scores are reviewed if there is 500+ point increase over all or 250+ in a section(I believe). That’s their definition of “significant” increase. Does anybody now how long I have to wait to actually receive my score?

wait what u took it a year ago and you still haven’t gotten your score back?

Wait no, I got my scores from the test I took in Dec 2011(I got a 1420). I just haven’t gotten my March 2013 scores due to significant increase. Do you know how long I’ll have to wait to receive my math scores?

So you’re basically in the same situation as I am in. We should keep each other updated about this :(

Yes we should… Im going to call collegeboard on Thursday to see what’s going to happen or what have they done. Its kinda frustrating to wait… I would be satisfied if at least they told me my “unofficial” score. I can’t focus on my HW because I’m just wondering what I scored :p

Get ready to fight with them for the scores… I gave my SAT exam on January 26, 2013 and it has been more than 6 weeks and I’m still waiting for them give me an update about my scores… I’m expecting my scores to go up by at least 500 points compared to the 1st test…

Oh wow… why do these things happen to me!!!
This waiting better be worth it… I don’t want any mediocre scores coming back; I’d be depressed :/

iamudit so you let it slide by for 6weeks?! wthe

I called them up every week and they just didn’t give me a good answer… I felt like I was taken for granted. There’s nothing much you can do… I’m still waiting for the scores and will prolly wait till I hear something from them…
I think they would cancel my SAT scores and ask me to give the exam again to prove myself.
