Marijuana

^ If anything, it will make the problem better because people won’t have to hide it and treat it as secretive.

And you’re kidding yourself if you think none of your friends smoke it. Or you have very few friends who come from very sheltered areas.

^ lol…i think it’s just because almost all of my friends are muslims…and the ones that aren’t
never do anything bad…“goody-good 2 shoes” i suppose…?

But i have acquaintances/ ‘friends’ that do smoke. [that i know plenty of].

hahaha but i swear im not lying. I think i have an idea of what weed smells like but definitely not alcohol…but my parents do for sure because once we had to go into a cab and apparently it smelled like alchohol…idk…

sorry if i dont make any sense at all…im so tired haha.

^ oh yeah, that & once my mom had to drag me to the police HQ at night b/c she thought she smelled weed on my little bro’s jacket…but i had no clue b/c i didn’t know what it smelled like.

I worry for you when you head off to college, eastafro. Really, I do.

^ awwww, thanks but why do you have to?

I have very good street smarts.

and i know to never leave my drinks unattended…lmao.

I don’t know what weed smells like either, bleh. However, how do you not know what alcohol smells like??

None of my friends do drugs/alcohol (okay, except possibly one). It’s not a matter of being sheltered, it’s a matter of making good choices. Although not living in the rough parts of town does contribute.

^hahaha if rubbing alcohol/ethanol counts…then no?

and i would have to agree with you you about it’s a matter of making good choices, not necessarily being sheltered…

I worry about sheltered kids because their parents tell them horror stories of pot and cigarettes and alcohol. Then they actually try these things at some point, say “hey, that’s not so bad!” and go crazy.

Sheltered kids are more likely to have no idea where the line needs to be drawn once they realize the previous line was a lie.

Here: the line is at vodka, heroin and sex with shady people & no birth control. There are other lines, but that’s the basic ones.

^ Eastafro, the answer to your question is basically lucky’s post, except for the last line lol.

This made me laugh really hard. People can be such fools.

Smoking pot does not make you ■■■■■■■■. She was already like that.

Here’s my stance: I don’t think pot is as bad as every one thinks it is. I have tried it once, and believe it or not I think everybody should (once). It was actually a pretty nice experience. However, there are better things (more fun, more productive) you can do with your time. Because I tried it, I also know that you can’t use that high to block out the problems in your life (which some people do).

I don’t have problems with semi-(every now and then) pot smokers either. Just to have fun every now and then. However, if your doing it regularly, I feel like your wasting your time/killing brain cells and your just using that as a fall back cuz ur life isn’t going anywhere.

For all you kids that are like never never- grow up and stop being so blind. Think for yourself, if your not too arrogant to have a reason why you think it’s “that bad”

@ romani:

hahaha that’s whyI’m afraid to have kids of my own…i’m so scared they’re going turn into something that I wouldn’t be able to handle :[

Plus, I’m pretty sure that weed is haram…so thinking about smoking it can’t’t even cross my mind.

hahaha my older sister started smoking cigarettes when she was in the 6th grade. She got caught by a teacher in the stairwell. I think she does other “bad” things that I don’t know of…but she didn’t really grow up with my parents so that’s kinda a different story.

I think I have to be the only ‘innocent’ person in my family at this point…lol.

hey, I like my last line :P

Just in that, people should not do that. Seriously: don’t do vodka, heroin, or unprotected sex. Pot, a beer, sex before marriage are not necessarily bad. Like, I don’t think I’m sheltered, I live on the westside of a big city (the westside is not the good side), inner city school, all that “underprivileged” nonsense. My mom always told me “no vodka, drugs, sex, etc”. I mean, she smoke cigarettes, I have friends that smoke pot, most of my family drinks beer, and everyone usually has sex some time before marriage.

Still, I know what’s ridiculously stupid to do because I’ve seen people do it and seen the ridiculously terrible consequences.

Also, you could try telling me smoking is cool like in those commercials, and I’d laugh because my mom smokes and how can my mom be cool?

“My friend’s friend tried to plug her hair into the TV like the Na’vi (sp?) do in Avatar while she was high. This does not appeal to me.”

ROFLMAO!!

The idea of inhaling the smoke of some plant that produces a chemical that messes with your mind doesn’t sound very appealing.

You don’t need it. The information on marijuana and its consequences are conflicting, as well as its danger levels in comparison to alcohol and cigarettes. Marijuana is not a necessary drug. I don’t see why one would waste their time using it.

Chocolate is not a necessary food but I see why people eat it.

@mojeniebo:
simple answer: it feels good.

it has virtually no long lasting negative effects, and it’s cheaper than a movie.

I don’t get it. I really don’t. Maybe it’s you that’s the fool since you seem incapable of understanding how other people can actually control themselves and not succumb to peer pressure.

Feed, not weed.

eating a big mac every day is worse

(bad analogy but w/e)
