Marijuana

^ True, but I’d rather eat a big mac than smoke weed.

I LOVE FOOD.

Yea, but not everyday.

Just use the rule of moderation.

That can go with almost everything, except drinking, smoking cigarettes and tobacco, etc.

For those of you who don’t know what weed or alcohol smells like, what kind of world are you living in?

^ I don’t know what weed smells like because I’ve never done weed or been around somebody doing weed. So I’d say, it’s a good world.

Can’t speak for alcohol; I’ve never drank it but I’ve certainly seen it many many times.

Um… OK. I never smoked weed in high school or college. I never drank in high school and in college I’ve had a grand total of 2 beers. One of which was while I was drinking with a professor a couple of nights ago in Costa Rica where I am perfectly legal. I know damn well how people can control themselves and not succumb to peer pressure. Thanks.

Second off, being from the “good” or “bad” part of town doesn’t mean more or less people do weed. That was my point of you being a fool.

You’ve never been to a concert? Or a public high school? Or a private high school for that matter? Because if you have, you’ve smelt it. I promise. Oh and ftw- weed doesn’t make someone bad or make it a bad world.

Lol nothing wrong with your last line, just it wasn’t relevant to what I was saying. That’s all. That’s where I draw the line to, no worries.

Nope, never been to a concert or public high school. And i’m pretty sure in the rough parts of town there’s probably more drug dealing going on than in the quiet suburbs, which is why none of my close friends do drugs; they all live in the suburbs. If i lived closer to the “source” i’m sure I’d have been exposed to weed. And yes, there are probably kids in my private high school that do weed, but not at school itself because that would mean immediate expulsion and would be pretty stupid…

This is probably a repetitive argument, but I’m completely for the legalization of marijuana.
It’s sad how the majority of the reason why it is illegal is because of politics rather than for the sake of general welfare, especially since the taboo mentality that’s been created around it has caused some people to become incredibly close-minded.
It is completely ridiculous to see how many lives are destroyed and how billions and billions of dollars are spent on the “war on drugs” when honestly - it’s just marijuana. The police have better things on which to spend their time.
We just need to legalize it, tax it to death, and put some regulations in.
Simple.

Wow. So I take it your planning on going to a private college and having a private job so that you never have to be exposed to these things?

You’d be surprised at who does drugs. The suburbs mean NOTHING. In fact, all of my friends that do drugs come from white, middle-upper class suburban neighborhoods.

You haven’t been exposed to it since you live in a bubble. It’s not that you’re close or far away, you simply live in a bubble.

Doing drugs at almost any high school, public or private, will get you expelled. People still do it. I promise that there are plenty of kids in your high school that do weed. However, prescription drug abuse tends to be higher among rich kids than weed, so they probably do that more often.

I agree with the Big Mac guy … Rock and Roll McDonalds!

Private college- maybe, maybe not (although all colleges have rampant drug use don’t they?) and I don’t know what you mean by “a private job.” It’s not that I am furiously avoiding drugs at all costs, it’s just that 1) I’d rather not be around them, though I don’t care too much because I myself wouldn’t do them either way and 2) I just have never happened to go to a public highschool because I go to a private one and concerts don’t interest me (maybe concertos though)

Hmm. well I don’t know how to respond to that.

Doubt it, I know of many people who do drugs (I think), I just haven’t been around them when they are actually engaging in said act.

I never said there weren’t lots of weed smoking people, I just said that I personally haven’t been around them when they smoked weed - so that’s why i don’t know what it smells like, looks like, feels like, etc.
It’s not exactly a rich-kid school though, there’s a lot of aid and the tuition isn’t that much. There are rich and poor kids there.

Not going to take the time to respond to all that as I need to be up in 7 hours and I still have quite a bit of journalling ahead of me. The point still stands, you can’t sit on a pedestal and pretend that people who do drugs are these people or those people. The majority of the US population will do weed at some point in their lives. It’s common and it should be legal. If you’ve never been exposed to it, then you’re honestly in for a bit of a rough transition to college, unless you go to another bubble college.

Hey, fine with me if you don’t respond to it. I wasn’t making these points to elicit a response but rather to refute your ‘point’ that all people who weren’t exposed to marijuana live in a bubble. You can’t sit on a pedestal either and say that people not exposed to drugs are these or those people. I think I’ll be fine wherever I go, I don’t plan to do weed and I won’t. I don’t care if people around me are doing weed, it’s just that most of my friends don’t at this moment either, and I’m pretty sure I won’t be going to a bubble college but I don’t care.

Gravity bongs will rock your world.

I love smoking weed. I saw the XX in concert blazed out of my mind. Was a great experience.

Sensation will be 10 times better. Music. Food. Perception.

Legalize prostitution and weed and well be out of this dept.

personally i choose not to smoke weed, i have friends that do but i don’t hold it against them. i consider myself too happy of a girl to rely on an addiction to sustain myself.

Marijuana isn’t addicting. I don’t do smoke or do drugs either, but I know it’s not an addiction. It’s the only drug that isn’t. The act of wanting to become relaxed may be addicting, but that depends on the individual. There are no chemicals in marijuana that involve addiction like smoking or anything.

Marijuana is more or less legal where I live. If it’s enforced it’s a $25 fine, but I’m told that usually if a cop does catch you, they’ll take it from you, and leave it at that.
