A member in this forum once told that most CEOs major either in finance or marketing, but I don't see here many threads about marketing. Is it because marketing has a low starting salary? In the other hand, people know for sure that marketing is suitable for creative people, is it true?

Generally, people in finance make more money than in marketing, but both have good potential for sizable salaries.

I don't think you will see many threads on marketing on CC because I guess for some reason, maybe those in finance have more competitive personalities and thus are researching and asking questions on forums such as this.

thanks for sharing your opinion.

yea i'm a marketing dude and it seems like all they talk about here are consulting and ibanking. Personally, marketing's fun, maintains a more relaxed lifestyle, and the money's still there.

possible to make 100 k in marketing?

easy if you stick at it. Brand Management at a solid firm (P&G, Nestle, General Mills, etc.) will take you above and beyond that right out of B-school.
