How are students that studied marketing doing post-graduation? Is it really hard to find a good paying job?

Personally, I doubt it. As an MBA student looking at job prospects I see a lot of marketing positions out there, even in this market.

Still, I would be interested to hear a reply, because some like communication majors.

So… BUMP!

in b4:

Marketing is a pointless degree

Economics, Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering are the only real degrees

Marketing will lead to a career in retail or sales

OK, so I want to be some kind of advertising/marketing executive. What kind of major(s) should I consider other than marketing itself?

also, what is marketing a pointless degree?

your guess is as good as mine. But I doubt you’ll get too many quality responses because the only fields people post about are finance, accounting, econ, and engineering. Not trying to knock on the forum, because it is very helpful for people in those fields, but I really wish there were more experts on the “other” business fields on here as well.

*why

What kind of business are you looking into?
