I currently go to Florida State University and I am in the honors program. I’m a freshman marketing major and I have a 3.95 GPA (wish it was a 4.0 but I messed up). I live in MA and I honestly am only at FSU for financial reasons. While I can’t even really afford UMass in state tuition, I’m still considering transferring very seriously for Fall 2017. I was actually waitlisted at UMass when I applied in high school, which came as a shock because it was supposed to be a safety school for me, but I learned that marketing is one of UMass’s most selective majors. That’s why I’m concerned about transfer admissions, because I will definitely be applying with marketing. I was hoping someone could provide me some information on transferring from OOS as a marketing major. How difficult is it, and how do my chances look?

Your admissions odds are good but expect to pay full price, so if fsu is cheaper it probably makes more sense to stay put.
