<p>I will more than likely be attending UCSD this fall (very excited!) but I'm also nervous. I live 6+ hours away and will know no one there.</p>

<p>I know I am not alone in feeling like this. I have seen this type of questionnaire used in several threads for several colleges in the past to find friends/possible roommates at that same college. It might be too early to do this (not everyone has decided yet, I know) but I thought it'd be nice to get the ball rolling!</p>

<p>Gender: Female.</p>

<p>Major: Physiology & Neuroscience.</p>

<p>Smoke?: No.</p>

<p>Mind if roommate smokes?: As long as the room does not smell bad, I'm totally fine with it.</p>

<p>Drink?: Only socially.</p>

<p>Mind if roommate drinks?: Nope.</p>

<p>How clean/organized do you keep your room/bathroom?: Everything is pretty organized in containers and such. My room is pretty much always clean, except I rarely have time to totally make my bed! I would prefer a roommate who likes a clean room/bathrooom.</p>

<p>What time do you normally fall asleep?: 11 or 12.</p>

<p>Are you a morning person?: Not so much lol.</p>

<p>Would you call yourself outgoing or shy?: I am pretty open and outgoing.</p>

<p>How do you feel about dorm safety?: I am very paranoid about the safety of myself and my possessions. I absolutely need a roommate (or roommates) who will keep the door locked at night and when no one is there. Also, I will probably bring with me a footlocker as well as a lockable train case. Respect of my belongings are absolutely necessary for me and I hope to find someone who shares my paranoia!</p>

<p>What are you looking for in a roommate? For example, a good friend, a life-long friend, just someone to share a room with?: I am looking for someone who could become a great friend, possibly a life-long friendship.</p>

<p>Any special circumstances?: Not that I can think of! =]</p>

I’ve already met with New2UCSD on this forum, and I gotta say, us incoming Marshall freshmen are pretty cool so far. :wink: Haha. But in all seriousness, I don’t really know many people from my school going so I’ll be in the same boat. No worries, I bet there are tons of people in the same boat as us!</p>

<p>So here’s my questionnaire all filled out, with some commentary…
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Major: Undeclared Social Science (I’m most likely going to declare Poly Sci)
Smoke?: Nope. I hate cigarettes with a passion. D:<
Mind if roommate smokes?: Yes. It’s not you, it’s your smell. :\ Well, then actually I guess it’s you. Hahaha.
Drink?: Nope, though I did take a few sips of wine in celebration of college acceptance. Pretty gross stuff, but I hear it’s acquired.
Mind if roommate drinks?: Nope, just don’t throw up on my bed or me and I’ll love you. :')
How clean/organized do you keep your room/bathroom?: UHHH… My room can be a mess, but when I’m with other people I’m pretty spotless.
What time do you normally fall asleep?: 11/12 on weekdays? Weekends 12/1.
Are you a morning person?: I’m kind of weird. I’m not really a morning person, but after I’ve gotten all ready for the day (get up, brush teeth, change clothes), I pretty awake.
Would you call yourself outgoing or shy?: I can be pretty shy, other times I’m outgoing. It depends on how I feel at that moment with people, although I’m pretty determined to be as outgoing and social as possible in college.
How do you feel about dorm safety?: Is it bad that I didn’t really think about it until now? XD; I mean, I don’t want to get stabbed in my dorms and I definitely wouldn’t like it someone can easily open my dorm, but I guess I trust my potential roommate a lot already. Just don’t take/use my stuff without asking, I think that’s straight forward.
What are you looking for in a roommate? For example, a good friend, a life-long friend, just someone to share a room with?: A good and trustworthy friend, of course.

<p>I may not get a roommate, because I’m seriously thinking about getting a single (as Marshall is mostly triples and singles). But I filled out the questionnaire anyways, in case. AND just so my fellow Marshallites (pfft. I sound lame, haha) kind of understand a little bit of me.</p>

<p>to me, i think that even if you triple or single, you’ll still get to know everyone in your suite. so its just the few hours i do have to myself, i’d rather have it alone than to share it with someone. i like knowing that its my dorm, and only my dorm. hahaha im really particular about certain things xD</p>

<p>Wow, it seems (at least through the questionnaire lol) that Marshall 2014 is going to be great! Poto92, I love your comment about being an “all day person”! Lol I’ll have to remember that one! And Jaayyenn, yea, I totally share your opinion on secondhand smoke! I can’t imagine getting lung cancer because of someone else’s bad habits!</p>

<p>Oh yea, and Jaayyenn, I live on the central coast! No one from my school (that I know of) is officially going to UCSD. And of those who were accepted, I was the only one put into Marshall!</p>
