I'm doing the housing preferences and I noticed that I have to choose one room type that I want and not rank them.
I want a double but if it's not available, then does that mean I could get a triple?
I don't mind a single but I really can't be in a triple.. Is there a way I can choose to get either a single or double?

I assume you requested a single? I would do that for sure.

i think its better to go with a single. theres only 12% doubles in marshall… and if you cant stand a triple, definitely go for a single.

i did. :D

Request a single. there are almost no doubles in marshall.

oh alright thanks!

one more question. if all the singles are taken, then do I get put into a triple?
just in case haha

basically. or you could forfeit housing.

Actually, I think were slightly more doubles this year. Some of the triples were converted to doubles. There’s no overflow to Revelle this coming fall, so all the Marshall people will be living in Marshall reshalls. And word of warning, if money is not a factor, please consider not living in a triple–they are doubles converted into triples. The doubles in the apartments are more spacious than the triples in the reshalls.

ohh jeez that sucks… I really don’t think I can live in a triple. :(

tgbgbt, yeah I chose the single on my housing preference haha. I saw a triple and it was really crowded.

so if i can’t get a single, would I get the next best choice (double)? or could I get a triple even if there are doubles available?
sorry i keep asking questions, I’m just really worried that I’d get a triple…haha

It sounds to me like if you don’t get what you request, you automatically get a triple.

If there are actually doubles available, I think you would get one, but I’m not sure if they’re doing doubles this year. They allegedly try to match you up using the housing preference form, so there’s also that to take into consideration. There was actually a double in my suite, so it’s possible. (:

ohh wow that would really suck if I got a triple :(

and I submitted my housing application kinda late (like a week after I got the admission letter) so…

try not to worry about it… it’s honestly out of your hands.

Yeah, Marshall only has singles and triples… HOWEVER, one of my friends said she just wrote that she wanted doubles. Apparently, she got one. You could try it~

oh okay thanks!
