Marshall School of Business question

I'm enrolled at SC as an undeclared student. I've completed all the business prereq's and have a cummulative GPA of a 3.5. I'm going to apply to the school as soon as school starts. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how difficult it is to gain admission to Marshall when you're already a student at USC. Thanks.

I believe the official requirement is at least a 3.0 average overall with solid B's or higher in your biz pre-reqs. They might have raised it, I don't know. If they still have the same requirement, you're almost guaranteed to get in.

I talked to my academic advisor (college of letters, arts, and sciences) and she said the minimum GPA for Marshall is a 3.0. I talked to the folks at Marshall and they said that I should definitely fill out and turn in an application as soon as possible if I really want to major in business administration. Anyone else have any insight on how competitive the business school is? (Preferably someone who is a business major.)

It's fairly competitive. Being the biggest major at USC, there's a broad spectrum in terms of quality of student, but the best in Marshall are easily some of the brightest at USC. It's tough to get 3.5 or higher, but with some hard work and dedication (or if you're naturally brilliant) it should be attainable.

If I'm already in Marshall as a freshman, do I have to reapply to the business program after I finish all the prereqs? I heard it's not necessary since they changed the policy, but if someone could confirm this for me, that'd be great.

Yes, I believe they changed the policy. I'm not 100% sure though.

no, you do not have to re-apply.
