We are IS. D’s smallish non-magnet public school has AT LEAST two students receiving full tution and neither is URM. I emphasized “at least” because they don’t really talk about these things (unlike the ED results where everyone knows who got what). I guess it’s uncool to talk about money on facebook :)

motion, I hate to be the bearer of bad news… but I have similar stats (1450 and a 4.0 UW GPA OOS) and I applied back last May and I have yet to hear about scholarships. I have serious doubts about my chances at receiving anything at this point, even the 10K/2K scholarship.

pinknpreppy216 - are you sure your application is complete? If you applied in May you should have heard by now.

If one is OOS and accepted without any merit aid notification, is it possible to still approach UPitt and request that they match a few $$ merit aid that was offered by other OOS state schools ?

intm: She was accepted a while ago but hasn’t heard in regards to scholarships.

MBJ - you can always ask. Pitt will NOT do anything about a private school’s scholarship offers, but they may listen to you if you present current offers from another comparable public school, especially if the admission is for the same major (e.g. such as engineering vs. engineering, etc). No guarantees though, but worth a try; you might get something.

intmof2 I heard back about admission in October. I’m waiting to hear about scholarships still.
