Congratulations to @squiggles1118’s son. Usually when the acceptance comes in January at USC it means there will be the chance of a Trustee or Presidential Scholarship. Have you heard yet if he was invited to the special weekend?

@Spirit- He has been invited to interview for the Presidential scholarship. We had an exciting afternoon in our house! I’m beginning to wonder if he will attend any class days at his high school in the month of March the way his schedule is looking.

Congrats, Squiggles’ son and good luck with the Presidential scholarship. We’re celebrating with you!

@squiggles - fingers crossed he’ll wow them and they’ll bump him up to Trustee! (And, if I remember right there’s some financial support for travel expenses for the Explore weekend? Too bad that’s not the case for all the other auditions!)

D accepted to Jacobs School of Music as a Violist

My Soprano D received an actual snail mail letter of acceptance for CCM vocal performance yesterday! Very exciting. 7 more auditions to go, but we are thrilled, she loved CCM and can really see herself going to school their.

Loved their audition day, was a great experience.

Their financial stuff is sent out beginning of March. We were thrilled the turn around was so fast, her audition was just 2 weeks ago!

Many Congrats BWD and CurlyMom!!

D accepted to Rowan University, Music Ed.

S accepted to Indiana University Jacobs School of Music - trombone performance. He will be informed of any scholarship by April 1.

broadwaydaddy, congratulations to you and your daughter. Is this for a BM in Performance?

Congratulations to CurlyMom and daughter. Is this for a BM degree?

Congratulations to CruiseQueen and daughter. What is her principal instrument or voice?

Congratulations to CAtbonemom and son. I take it this is for a BM rather than a graduate degree.

All: Help me out here. When listing acceptances, please let me know the degree program as specifically as possible, otherwise I wind up going to the school website to try to figure it out and may still get it wrong. Likewise, please tell me the primary instrument (voice counts as an instrument for this purpose), even if it is not a performance degree and even if you think it should be obvious from your screen name. Ideally, an entry would tell me the school (including location and name of the music school if applicable), the degree and the instrument, and whether this applies to the owner of the screen name or their son or daughter. You can also tell me about talent or merit-based scholarship money (completly optional), the name of the assigned teacher (if known) and whether or not the student will attend this school (if known).

A minimal entry would look something like

One with all the bells and whistles might look like

You need not follow that format exactly but it would make compiling the list easier for me if you include all the known information (person, school, degree, instrument) in your first post. If you find out additional information (scholarship, teacher, will attend) later, I will always be happy to add that as it appears.

Bassdad, daughter was accepted at CCM for BM in Vocal Performance.
