It appears that no one has answered you question yet. My DS received a call. I am not sure if there was any other notice given. He was told an official letter, including info on financial aid and merit will be arriving in the next week or so. Eastman is reputed to release decisions sporadically, so I had no idea when it would show up. Each department, or perhaps even each studio, seems to be on its own schedule. Good luck!

Admissions and Financial aid are reviewed by instrument on a first come, first serve basis. Meaning that the order in which the faculty for each instrument finish reviewing and scoring auditions is the order in which admissions decisions are made. Its also done separately for Grad and Undergrad. Hope this helps a little bit as people are waiting for their ESM decisions. Donāt sweat it because you havenāt heard yet. It just means that your instrument is still in line.

I got mine in an email. Actually, I got it around midnight, so who knows. I know some Grad violists started getting their emails on wednesday afternoon, but mine didnāt come in until more than a day later. For undergrad, typically you will get a call from someone in the admissions office, and then get an email a tiny bit later.

D accepted to Lawrence BM cello performance $22,000 music scholarship.
Also just notified of a full ride to DePauw University School of Music. This is a$200k award. It wasnāt her first choice buts itās hard to pass this up.

Mail finally arrived! sent 3/15 WI arrived CA 3/21, oh my.
S got acceptance for flute and french at Lawrence U $20k music merit scholarship.
Also got acceptance for Baldwin-Wallace $13k academic scholarship - need to contact on why no music as they said they combine where Lawrence is either music or academic.

Baldwin-Wallace tuition is $10k less than Lawrence, but only for 4 years where Lawrence is for 5 years. Neither goes up even though the tuition goes up each year.

@shymom-B-W has a new policy whereby the 5th year is free IF the student doesnāt graduate in 4 years (and has taken a normal course load and followed specific guidelines), so that time line as compared to Lawrence may not matter so much if you think of it that way.

debtabs,
Congrats on Eastman. My son is a double bass player and although he did not go to Eastman he did say he liked all the teachers there and found them to be very good. Also the hybrid Bass he plays is shipped into the country to Rochester NY and they have their center there.

S received an email from UNT informing him that he has received a $12000 ($3000 per year) scholarship. Iām hoping that also means he qualifies for the in state tuition. Maybe those of you whoāve ābeen there beforeā can tell me
Also for those of you like us wondering about Miami, he received a āhang in thereā email from the prof at Frost saying that they are in the process of deciding scholarships and he should look at his UM in the next few days

^Yes, NYsaxmom, if UNTās policies have remained the same, from numerous previous years, any prospective UNT music student earning (is it $1000?) in scholarships is eligible for in-state tuition rates. You can surely find out for sure by consulting their website. It used to be on there year after year. Congratulations! :)

update on sonās Denver acceptance: got his packet today with scholarship offer. He got a Pioneer Scholar award as well as his music award for a total of 17,000 a year. He is stunned! Wasnāt expecting the academic award! lol

Thanks SimpleLife. It does still say that but until you see it in writing in an actual letter itās still āvirtualā to me
Plus I assume the additional scholarship comes off the in state tuition? If so, heās getting a pretty sweet deal
Having said that, if Miami comes up with enough, everyone else pales into insignificance
